We will provide Medical Expenses cover for any injuries whilst Cycling abroad as well as Repatriation back to your home country.
If I am Cycling and my baggage and valuables are stolen from my bike panniers, am I covered under Personal Baggage ?
Your Personal Baggage will be covered for theft, loss or damage as long as the bike panniers are closed and secure with a secure lock. You bike and panniers must be within eye contact at all times and where ever you leave your bike, make sure it is securily locked.
Does the Travel Insurance cover Cycle Racing and specificaly L'Etape de Tour de France in July ?

What protective gear to I need to be wearing in order that the Cycling Travel Insurance remains valid ?
You should always wear the appropriate clothing, so for example if you are Cycling at altitude you should be wearing and have with you warm clothes at your disposal. Footwear is important and you should always wear appropriate footwear; such as cycle shoes or sturdy shoes or boots. You should always wear a cycle helmet as this is the best way of avoiding a head injury.
Will this Cycling Policy cover me for Mountain Biking ?
What is the difference between a Travel Insurance Policy that covers Cycling and Cycle Touring ?
This policy covers Leisure Cycling and this is always staying in one area whilst you are on holiday. If you are travelling to Amsterdam this is the policy for you. Cycle Touring usually consists of Cycling in a region, or to more than one country. We can provide cover for Cycling Touring and long distance even between continents.
If I am travelling for a long period of time, such as a Gap Year or just exploring the world for a year, can I get a Travel Insurance policy for the duration of the trip and if I am going to be Cycling ?
Our Backpacker policy does cover Cycling as an activity whilst you are travelling. This policy can last up to 12 months years and you can extend the policy at anytime. We do offer a LONGSTAY & BACKPACKER policy that covers up to 18 months and allows for two trips back to your home during the period of insurance.
What is the age limit for a JS Travel Insurance Policy for Cycling ?
Travelling with a Bicycle
If you wish to fly to your holiday destination with a bicycle you must consult with the Airline before you travelling. You should check the Airlines policies on excess and overweight baggage. There may be an extra charge for this can vary depending on the Airline you will be flying with.

- Knee pain is also a common complaint with many Cyclists.

You must ensure that you are adequately supervised, that appropriate safety equipment (such as protective headwear, etc.) are worn at all times and you do not participate in Cycling for more than 90 days in any one Period of Insurance.
