Levels of Insurance Cover
How to get the cheapest Single Trip price ?
When looking for a Single Trip policy, make sure you have the correct and suitable level of cover for your trip or holiday.
If you think am going to get the cheapest quote . Check the cover and ask yourself.
When to get a more Comprehensive Policy
If you are travelling with expensive items such as cameras and jewellery, you should select a policy that covers these items. Check that the single item limit for baggage or valuables will cover the loss, theft or damage of your items. If it doesnt then contact us and we can look for a suitable policy .
If you are booking your holiday a long time in advance and its an expensive one then make sure you have adequate cover for Cancellation or Curtailment.
Sports and Activities
If your Single Trip Travel Insurance involves any particular Sport or Activity, then you need to ensure that it is added to the Policy. This may be included as Standard ( ie : no increase in premium eg : Cycling or Sailing) but for other Sports and Activities there may be a loading on the Premium . Click Here for a full list.
Please Note: The Sports and Activities online do not provide Accidental Death & Disability Benefit or Personal Liability cover.
Pre Existing Medical Conditions
Importnat here if you have any, then declare them. As if you have a claim that pertains to any and you have'nt declared them then then your Claim will not be paid .
Annual Multi Trip Travel Insurance
If you do travel more than once or twice a year, it might be more cost effective to purchase an Annual Multi Trip Travel Insurance policy.
Family Single Trip Travel Insurance
If you are travelling on a Single Trip with your family, you should look at our Family Travel Insurance policy. This type of policy can save you money as Children under the age of 17 are half price of the Adult premium.
Group Travel Insurance
For Group Travel Insurance, we can provide a discount depending on how many are in the group. Please note that those who are under the age of 17, the premium is half of the Adult price, so it can be economical to take out a Group policy, especially if you are a School or Church Group travelling together on a Single Trip .
European Health Insurance Card
For those who are travelling to Europe, it is a good idea to take your European Health Insurance Card with you, as this will cover some medical expenses in certain European countries. This is not a replacement for Travel Insurance as it does not cover Repatriation or any Pre Existing Medical Conditions.
Period of Insurance
Means if a Single Trip Cover is selected.
This is from the time of the day you depart the United Kingdom or the Channel Islands until the time and day your return.
The only exception is Cancellation which starts the minute you purchase the Policy to the day you depart.
The period of Travel Insurance is automatically extended for the period of the delay in the event that your return to your home area is unavoidably delayed due to an event insured by the policy.
