Limassol
Europe’s most southern point, Limassol, is a great place to relax in the sun. Its location means that the weather is always mild and hot in the summer, perfect for a dip in the mediterranean in any season.
Visit the water park and the zoo for a fun filled day with the kids, or wander around Limassol Castle and bring a picnic to enjoy on the grounds.

Paphos
Release your inner romantic in Paphos. Dotted with castles, dramatic architecture and gorgeous sandy beaches, it is the perfect couple’s retreat.
Paphos has plenty of rock coves and secret hideaways that you can reach by boat or kayak, so be sure to hire one and explore the coast on your trip here.
If you’re a fan of the heat, visit in August, as temperatures can reach up to 35 degrees Celsius.
Kyrenia
Explore the unspoiled beaches of Kyrenia. Perfect for water sports, these beaches offer many places where you can hire equipment to travel around the coast or go Scuba Diving.
Kyrenia also has mountains as a backdrop for the city, and in the winter these often become snowcapped, although short lived, if you time your trip right, you can scale the mountain in the snow.
Kyrenia Castle is also a sight to behold, there are hidden passageways underground, and lots of rooms to get lost in, perfect for the kids to run around in and play hide and seek.
Larnaca
Located on the southern coast, Larnaca, a port city and is home to the second largest commercial port in Cyprus. Built on the ancient ruins of Citium, this town is filled with rich culture and plenty of historical monuments to visit and get immersed in.
This resort is a great place to escape the hustle and bustle of touristy cities, you can stroll along the parks or waterfront without the worry of queuing for a coffee or a bite to eat.
Nicosia
Dine in a traditional Cypriot restaurant, or the many other cuisines they have to offer in Nicosia, such as French and Greek.
Nicosia, or Lefkosia as it’s officially known, is a wonderful juxtaposition of modernity and traditional scenery, from its vibrant nightlife to gorgeous museums, this city has something for everyone.
Nicosia is the world's last divided capital. The barbed wire and guardtowers of the Green Line cuts the city in two, with the northern side being the capital of Northern Cyprus and the southern half being the capital of The Republic of Cyprus.
Travel Risks in Cyprus
The overall risk in Cyprus is low, although petty crime does occur, especially in built up areas in the summer. Be cautious of your belongings as you would in any other country.
Be aware of scams and overpaying for food, drink, and trinkets.

Visa Requirements for Cyprus
Nationals of the European Union do not require a Visa, you are allowed to stay in Cyprus for up to 90 days.
EHIC (European Health Card Insurance)
Your EHIC card will cover you for emergency healthcare in Cyprus, but make sure you have the correct Travel Insurance before you leave the UK.
