If you are planning a Cruise, then there are some advantages to purchasing a Travel Insurace policy before you leave, such as Cancellation Cover if you get ill before your departure date.
You can opt for a Cruise Cover Extension Policy to provide extra protection. For example, compensation for Cabin Confinement if you are taken ill on board.
If you have the good fortune to be cruising The Mediterranean or The Caribbean, or even a Round the World Cruise, you should make sure that you have the correct policy in place. A standard policy may not provide sufficient cover for your Cruise.

What is Cruise Cover ?
We will cover you whilst you are enjoying your cruise to several parts of a continent or parts of the World, whether on a River Cruise or Cruise Liner. Whether it lasts just a week or even a year, we've got you covered.
There are numerous Cruise Cover policies, the main variation is whether you keep it simple and opt for a low premium without the Cruise Extension Benefits (so that at least the Emergency Assistance Service know you're on a boat), or whether you go all out and opt for the Cruise Cover Extension Policy.
The very nature of a Cruise is that you will be visiting more than one country, so you must list all the countries you're visiting or ensure the Geographical Region you select will cover all stops.
European Health Insurance Card (EHIC)
If you are cruising within the European Union make sure you take your European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) with you.
This card will provide you with access to free or reduced Emergency Medical Care whilst abroad if you are staying within Europe.
The EHIC is not a replacement for Travel Insurance as it does not provide cove for such Benefits as Cancellation or Loss of Baggage or even Repatriation back to your home country.
Cruise Benefits Extension Policy
We do provide a Specialist Cruise Extension Policy, without any age limits and can cover pre existing medical conditions.
|Cruise Cover Benefits||Claim Limit||Gold Excess||Platinum Excess|
|Missed Port Departure||£500||£75||£0|
Besides the above Benefits, here are the highlights of what else you'll be covered for:
Cancellation Cover Top Up: If the Cancellation Cover isn't sufficient for your crusie, you have the option to add up to an extra £10,000 (per person) of Cancellation Cover.
Please check the Terms and Conditions for any Restrictions or Exclusions.
