This Travel Insurance policy for Ball Hockey is underwritten by Red Sands Insurance Company (Europe) Limited, registered in Gibraltar under number 87598, registered office at Level 3, Ocean Village Business Centre, 23 Ocean Village Promenade, Gibraltar. The Gibraltar Financial Services Commission is licensed and regulated by the Financial Services Act 2019 of Gibraltar.
The game is played usually on a hard surface and not on an ice or grass surface. The Player equipment is different, and a ball is used instead of a hockey puck and the sticks are more similar to Ice Hockey sticks rather than Field Hockey.
Global Health Insurance Card
The GHIC (Global Health Insurance Card) replaced the EHIC (European Health Insurance Card) on the 1st of January 2021.
You can use this card to access medical healthcare abroad. This includes state healthcare including emergency treatment, treatment for existing medical conditions, routine maternity care, oxygen therapy, kidney treatment and many more healthcare requirements.
Please Note This is not a substitute for Travel Insurance when taking part in Ball Hockey, as there are restrictions on the cover and you might have to pay some costs. It is important to note that this card will not cover Repatriation.
Pre-Existing Medical Conditions
If you have pre-existing medical conditions and you plan to participate in Ball Hockey whilst travelling abroad, we can provide you with a policy.
If you are looking for a policy for a child under 18 years of age, you will need to select Independent Child (Single Trip or Annual Multi-Trip) when going through the quote process.
Please select: Hockey (Field Hockey not Ice Hockey) and this will cover you for Ball Hockey.
This policy will provide cover up to the age of 69 years.
Personal Liability and Personal Accident are covered.
Please Note: We can cover just the day or days that you will be taking part in Ball Hockey if you already have a Travel Insurance policy in place. When getting a quote and purchasing a policy, you must take out Adventures Party A Only, so the cover is valid.
