Off Piste Skiing / Snowboarding is done in the back country in unmarked or even unpatrolled areas. This is done within the Resort Boundaries. You should check the Resort website and maps to see the markings for the Resort. There are no groomed trails, which obviously adds an aspect of adventure to the descent. This also makes it much more dangerous, for there may be hidden rocks, patches of trees and other obstacles that should be avoided. On the other hand, the thrill of being alone in a snow covered landscape is highly rewarding and is why this particular type of Skiing / Snowboarding is so attractive to adventure minded people.
