Please note, our policies do not provide cover for cancellation, abandonment or curtailment claims if the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) advises against all or "all but essential" travel.

Our policies will also not cover any claims caused by or relating to Coronavirus, COVID-19, Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS-COV-2), any mutation of Coronavirus, COVID-19 or SARs-COV-2 or any pandemic or fear or threat of any the above. We also can not cover any claims relating to any fear or threat concerning these viruses. This general exclusion applies to all sections of cover except for the Emergency Medical Expenses section. This policy for Snowboarding is underwritten by Travel Insurance Facilities and Insured by Union Reiseversicherung AG, UK. Travel Insurance Facilities are authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. Union Reiseversicherung AG are authorised by BaFin and subject to limited regulation by the Financial Conduct Authority.

Snowboarding Insurance Cover

Medical Expenses: If you are injured whilst snowboarding, the medical expenses will be covered by as well as repatriation back to your home.

Mountain Rescue: If you need to be taken to a hospital or clinic after an accident whilst snowboarding, we cover this as well as an air ambulance if required.

Off Piste Snowboarding: We will cover you automatically for off piste snowboarding within the resort boundaries.

Snowboarding Equipment and Hire: If your snowboarding equipment is lost, stolen or damaged, we will cover the cost for replacement equipment or hire.

Ski Pass: If your ski pass is stolen or lost, you will be able to claim for a new ski pass so you can continue snowboarding on your trip.

Main Exclusions

Extreme Snowboarding: Some types of snowbaording may be excluded or some pistes and routes might not be covered by the policy you have purchased. It is best to check with the resort about limitations and restrictions.

Competition Snowboarding: If you are planning to take part in any snowboarding competitions, you will need to contact us for a quote.

Snowboarding and Alcohol: If you are snowboarding and you have had a few drinks, you might find that any claims would not be valid.

Injury without Correct Protection: If you have an accident and injure yourself, a claim might not be valid if you have not wearing the correct clothing or equipment such as a Helmet and Goggles.

Snowboarding is a fun activity and you should make the most of the days and have a great trip. There are some travel tips that might be useful to keep in mind:

  • Make sure you have all the correct equipment with you.
  • Check the weather forecast before you travel and when you are on your trip.
  • Make sure you follow basic etiquette on the slopes so that you do not injure anyone else.
