Common Injuries whilst taking part in Martial Arts
Martial Arts is a physically very demanding activity. The combative part of the sports make them risky and sometimes even dangerous. Several different injuries can occur during Martial Arts training sessions and matches.
Martial Arts Equipment
The abundance in different Martial Arts results in the use of a wide variety of equipment. Pretty much every competitive Martial Art requires one or more pieces of protective gear. This is especially true for sparring sports such as Muay Thai, Boxing and Kick Boxing. Martial Arts equipment can range from protective gear such as headwear and gloves to specialised weaponry such as swords and sables.
Additionally, training for Martial Arts is nearly impossible without additional equipment such as punch bags, free weights, wooden dummies, breaking boards and skipping ropes.
You must ensure that you do not participate in Martial Arts (Amateur Competition) for more than 90 days in any one Period of Insurance.
This Sport does not provide Accidental Death & Disability Benefit or Personal Liability cover.
