Copa Jordi Information
The Copa Jordi 2026, organised by Euro-Sporting in collaboration with CF Tordera, has specific safety and organisational measures in place to protect the 200+ youth teams participating in the Costa Brava region of Spain.
Safety Info
1. On-Site Medical & First Aid
-
Dedicated First Aid: The main tournament hub at Soccerland (a large sports park with nine grass pitches) is equipped with dedicated first aid facilities to handle on-pitch injuries immediately.
-
Hospital Proximity: The matches are held in the Blanes and Tordera areas, which are well-serviced by local medical infrastructure for any serious emergencies.
2. Safeguarding & Supervision
-
Multilingual Support Desks: Euro-Sportring maintains staffed desks at the sports parks throughout the tournament. These are available to team leaders for any safety concerns, logistics, or emergencies.
-
Team Leader Meetings: Before matches begin, there is a mandatory "Team Leader Meeting" where organizers brief coaches and staff on tournament rules, emergency protocols, and local safety guidelines.
-
UEFA Respect Program: The tournament officially follows the UEFA Respect guidelines, which promote a safe, non-discriminatory, and positive environment for youth players. This includes a formal ceremony on the final day to reinforce these values.
3. Secure Environments
-
Controlled Sports Facilities: Most matches take place at Soccerland, a private, terraced sports complex designed for crowd control and player safety. This prevents unauthorised access to the field of play and allows supporters to watch from designated safe areas.
-
Official Transport & Accommodation: To ensure player safety outside of matches, Euro-Sportring manages designated tournament hotels (mostly 3-star and 4-star) in safe coastal districts like Malgrat de Mar and Santa Susanna. They also provide coordinated check-in and information addresses at the Blanes sports arena.
4. Tournament Infrastructure
-
Pitch Quality: -played on high-quality grass pitches maintained by CF Tordera to reduce the risk of surface-related injuries.
-
Tournament App: Because the tournament takes place during the busy Easter break, organisers recommend using the Tournament App (available on the website) for real-time updates on safety announcements, schedule changes, and emergency contacts.
