1. Briefing: Your adventure starts with a short briefing from your instructor, covering what to expect during takeoff and the flight.

3. Takeoff: Unlike skydiving, there's no jumping. You'll typically launch from a gentle slope. With a few brisk steps (5-15 meters, depending on wind and terrain), the paraglider will lift you off the ground. This transition is seamless and natural.

4. The Flight: Once airborne, you'll be amazed by the peacefulness and stunning views. Your instructor will navigate, allowing you to relax and enjoy the ride. Flights can range from 10-20 minutes for a "discovery" flight, or longer (30-50 minutes or even hours) for soaring or thermal flights, depending on conditions and location. You can often talk to your pilot during the flight, who might point out landmarks.

5. Landing: As you near the ground, your instructor will guide the landing. You'll need to lift your legs and may need to take a few steps upon touchdown. It's generally a smooth process.

Who can Go?

If you have reduced mobility or a physical disability, it's worth contacting the operator directly as some can accommodate this.

The main risks are minor injuries like ankle strains during takeoff or landing if you don't follow instructions (e.g., stopping running too early).
