Common Injuries

Injuries can occur when going on a Sea Kayaking excursion, so it is important to purchase travel insurance before leaving the country if you want to go on a Sea Kayaking trip.

As the upper body is exposed, it is this area that is most commonly injured.

The sport often takes place on rocky water or rapids, therefore it is possible for injury to occur as a result of a collision at force with a blunt object.

Because it can be easy to sustain an injury whilst going Sea Kayaking, a knowledge of first aid is an important and useful skill to have.

Having a basic knowledge can help prevent any injuries incurred whilst out on the water becoming more serious and can tide a person over until it is possible to get back to shore and have the situation treated by medical professionals if need be.

Pre Existing Medical Conditions

If you have pre existing medical conditions and you plan to take part in Sea Kayaking whilst travelling abroad, we are able to provide you with a policy.
