Lacrosse is a team sport that was invented by the Native Americans and is therefore the oldest of any sport in North America. It remains most popular in the United States and Canada, but has recently gotten some traction internationally as well. Lacrosse is played by two teams who try to bring a rubber ball into the opponents goal by using a lacrosse stick, which consists of a long stick with a loose net at the end. The net is used to catch, carry and pass the ball. Lacrosse is often considered to be a rather tough physical sport.
