Motorcycle Track Days Travel Insurance FAQs

1. Does the Motorcycle Track Day Travel Insurance cover Repatriation?

Yes, it does up to £10m under Medical Expenses; if you are injured or have an accident on your motorbike while doing Track Days, we will pay you to be repatriated back to the UK if the medical opinion is such that this is required.

2. Can JS provide travel insurance for the days you are doing the Track Days?

Yes, we can. If you are going to Spain for two weeks from 1st July to 15th July and doing Track Days on the 7th, 8th, and 9th July, then you can book your Insurance for the track days just for those three days. So, from the day you start on the track to the day you finish.

You can only take out the Adventures Part A Only cover if this happens.

Ensure you already have average Travel Insurance for the rest of your trip from the day you depart to the day you return to the UK.

3. Do regular travel insurance policies cover Motorcycle Track Days at a Circuit?

No, they don't. Usually, you must book it separately. It would be best if you were very careful here to read your Policy Wording and check Activities Covered. If you are unsure, call your Insurance company to get confirmation on whether Motorcycle Track Days are covered.

4. What matters most to Riders regarding Travel Insurance for Motorcycle Track Days?

Medical Expenses (we cover up to £10m) and Repatriation back to the UK (again covered to £10m). This is why you must get travel insurance, as these bills can be huge if you are in an accident.

If you are getting local Insurance at the track, ensure it covers Repatriation.

5. Does getting an Annual Travel Insurance Policy for Track Days make sense?

This depends on how many times you do Motorcycle Track Days per Year overseas. If you go over three times, get an Annual Multi Trip Policy.

6. What is the Age limit for Motorcycle Tracks Days Insurance?

You can purchase coverage up to the age of 69; the premiums increase when you pass 65. Please bear this in mind.
