Alcudia
Alcudia is a charming town just a few kilometres inland from the coast. It is filled with narrow streets and medieval walls. The stone houses give this town a lovely, warm feeling that makes it feel like home; paired with the hot climate, this is a perfect holiday destination.
Make sure to visit the old ruins of Pollèntia, once a magnificent Roman settlement on the edge of the town.
Pollenca
Pollenca is a gorgeous rural town situated in the north of Majorca. It is worth sending a postcard back home! Relax with a coffee outside on a late summer afternoon and watch the sunset over the beautiful stone houses.
Pollenca has a warm and inviting air that is hard to resist. Tucked between two hills, the town is best visited on a Sunday morning, when the plaza is full of market stalls selling wonderful trinkets and fresh, traditional food.
Pollenca&rsquo's port is a few kilometres north and is lined with beautiful beaches and warm waters, perfect for a summer's day.
Magaluf
Perhaps one of the most famous resorts in Europe, Magaluf is very popular amongst young people and famed for being a big party town with a vibrant nightlife and club scene.
It is located on the southwest coast and has a golden sand beach, almost 900 metres long and clear, azure waters, perfect for swimming and watersports.
Time your visit well, and you could attend an event at the BH Hotel, where the lineup has tickets sold out in hours, attracting international DJs like Calvin Harris and David Guetta.
Majorca Beach Rugby Festival happens on Magaluf Beach at the end of April every year.
Palma de Mallorca
The gorgeous historical town of Palma leaves holidaymakers always coming back. This city dates back to the 13th-century Christian conquest of the island and to the Moors, Romans and Talayotic people before that.
Visit the beautiful Gothic cathedral at the heart of the city. Palma is filled with charming shops, museums and galleries where you can get lost for days, and restaurants where you can sample authentic Spanish tapas and other regional delicacies.
Majorca is also famed for its wine, and you can take a wine tour of the vineyards and taste one or two (or ten!) of the local wines that Majorca has to offer.

Travel Risks in Majorca
Most visits to Majorca are trouble-free. However, pickpockets may be found in built-up areas, so constantly monitor your belongings.
If you drink, know your limit - remember that drinks served in bars are often more robust than those in the UK. Tourists in Majorca have also reported cases of drink spiking, usually done by other British Nationals. To avoid this, buy your drinks and never leave them unattended.
Avoid splitting up with your friends, and don't go off with people you don't know.
