There are no health questions to ask as long as, in the last 12 months, you have not been referred to a specialist due to worsening or destabilisation of your High Cholesterol; you have never had any hospital admissions with the condition; you are not on a waiting list for treatment or surgery for this condition; you are not awaiting the results of any tests or investigations for this condition.

Travel Advice
- Pack more Medication than you would usually need to allow for delays. In case of lost luggage, split the Medication between carry-on and checked bags, and bring a note or prescription from your doctor.
- Maintain medication intake whilst on Holland, as well as a healthy diet and exercise regime to keep your cholesterol levels down. Avoid foods with high fats or high cholesterol levels when eating abroad.
- Pack healthy snacks and consider booking accommodation with a kitchen to control your diet better.
- Ensure your diet has a lot of fibre while travelling and abroad. Carry fibre supplements.
- If you have High Cholesterol, you may have an increased risk of Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT). This is when blood clots form in the legs or pelvis. To reduce this risk, walk down the plane aisle every hour and stretch in your seat.
- Check where the nearest hospital or clinic is to where you are going and make a checklist of your medicines (including the brand name and generic name) and terms of drugs that are commonly used to treat High Cholesterol.
