Suppose you are planning on a cruise ship. In that case, there are some advantages to purchasing a travel insurance policy before you leave, such as cancellation coverage if you get ill before your departure date.

You can opt for a Cruise Insurance Cover policy to provide extra protection—for example, compensation for Cabin Confinement (if you are taken ill on board).

If you have the good fortune to cruise The Mediterranean, The Caribbean, or even Round the World Cruise, you should ensure you have the right cruise insurance policy. A standard policy may not provide sufficient cover for your Cruise.

Travelling on a Cruise

  • Choose the right cruise line and itinerary. Some lines cater specifically to couples, with adult areas, romantic dining options, and spa packages. When choosing an itinerary, consider your interests and destinations.
  • A private balcony is a great way to enjoy quality time together and relax in your own space. You can also enjoy stunning sunsets and views of the ocean and the ports you visit.
  • Most cruise lines have formal evenings, so pack a few nice outfits. It is an excellent opportunity to dress up and enjoy the evening meals and entertainment.
  • Take advantage of the time at sea to relax and recharge. Enjoy all that the cruise offers.
  • Pack plenty of gluten-free snacks and meals, especially for travel days and times when you cannot access safe food.

What is Cruise Cover?

We will provide coverage for you whilst you enjoy your Cruise to several parts of a continent or parts of the world, whether on a river cruise or cruise ship. We've covered you whether it lasts a week or even a year.

There are numerous Cruise Cover policies; the main variation is whether you keep it simple and opt for a low premium without the Cruise Extension Benefits (so that at least the Emergency Assistance Service knows you are on a cruise ship) or whether you go all out and opt for the Cruise Cover Extension Policy.

The very nature of a Cruise is that you will be visiting more than one country, so you must list all the countries you're visiting or ensure the Geographical Region you select will cover all stops.

Traditionally, Cruises have been for the older generation, but they are now becoming popular with younger Couples and Families.

You might be interested in participating in Sports and Activities, such as Snorkelling, Scuba Diving or Kayaking.
