European Health Insurance Card - JS Travel Insurance

European Health Insurance Card Travel Insurance

The European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) allows anyone from an European Union country that is covered by a State Healthcare Program, to receive free or discounted healthcare in another European Union country.

JS Travel Insurance does not provide the European Health Insurance Card itself and this Card can only be obtained via the internet European Health Insurance Card website.

In the event of liability being accepted for a medical expense which has been reduced by more than the your excess amount, by using either a European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) or a Private Health Insurance policy, we will not apply the deduction of the Excess under Emergency Medical and other Expenses.

The EHIC card is not valid for some Medical Treatments, or Repatriation and does not cover any pre existing medical conditions. It is important to purchase Travel Insurance before you leave the country.

If it’s just going to be one trip, you will be all set with our Single Trip Travel Insurance policy. Those who plan to do more than one trip a year might want to look at the Annual Multi Trip Travel Insurance policy. In case you’re going away for a longer period of time, consider our Long Stay Travel Insurance policy.
