Hawaii Volcano Eruption – JS Travel Insurance

Hawaii Volcano Eruption

The Kilauea Volcano erupted on the 3rd May 2018. This eruption has destroyed over 25 homes and 35 building structures. The lava and hazardous fumes still continue to cause problems over Hawaii’s biggest island five days after the first eruption.

Bursting through giant cracks in the ground, the Hawaii Authorities have advised that travellers and sightseers should avoid the Leilani Estates.

1,700 residents of Leilani Estates and Lanipuna Gardens were ordered to evacuate.

There is more concern due to frequent earthquakes after the eruptions. Hawaii reporters have mentioned that there is more to come.
