Slovakia is a land locked country located in Central Europe.

Visa Requirements:

For citizens of Slovakia who want to travel outside of the country, the Visa requirements will depend on where you are travelling.

Travelling within the EU:

• Slovakian citizens are able to travel freely to any other country within the European Union without a visa.

Travelling outside of the EU:

• A Visa will be required to enter a country outside of the EU.
• What type of Visa and how you can go about getting it will vary according to where in the world you want to go on holiday to.

Areas that will issue you a Visa on arrival in the country, without any forward planning, are:

• Japan
• Hong Kong
• Korea
• Singapore
• Macau
• Malaysia
• Philippines
• Taiwan
• Thailand
• Sri Lanka
• Indonesia
• Laos
• Maldives

Other areas will require you to obtain your Visa in advance.

Places that will require you to obtain a Visa via an online application or by email are:

• Vietnam
• Myanmar
• Cambodia

India and China will require you to obtain a Visa from the embassy of the country you are travelling to. Sometimes this can be done through your travel agent. Other areas that require you to have a visa are:

• Russia
• Australia
• Africa
• America

Check all Visa information with your travel agent before travelling.

Importing Products:

The products that you are able to bring back into the country depend on the area to whcih you are travelling.

Within The EU:If you have gone on holiday within the European Union, you will be able to bring back a certain amount of products.

You can bring more products back into the country with you from somewhere within the EU.

Outside of the EU: If you have been on holiday outside of the EU, the products you will be able to bring back in do not vary, but the amount you can bring back will.

For example, you will be allowed to take back fewer cigarrettes from Russia than if you had been on holifay in Spain.

You will be able to bring in smaller amounts back into the country if you have been on holiday outside of the European Union.

You will not be able to bring animal products back into Slovakia once you have been abroad.

Travelling with Pets:

There are a number of issues to consider if you want to travel with a pet.

Check with the airline before travelling, for their policies on taking animals with you. It may be that you have to check your animals as baggage.

Most of the time, you will need a certificate from a certified vet declaring that your pet is free from disease.
