Visa requirements:
The visa requirements for your travel will entirely depend on the country you wish to go on holiday to. Places such as Thailand, Iran, China and Australia will all require you to have a visa, for example. However, the way in which you can acquire a visa will vary.
You may have to visit the embassy of the country you are visiting, get it through your travel agent, fill out an online application or you may just be issued one on entry to the country you are travelling to.
As a resident living within the European Union, you are able to travel around the European Union without a visa.

Importing Products:
If you want to bring in products from another country after going on holiday, check first with Customs for their exact policies regarding coming into Malta from the country you have been on holiday in.
The type and amount of product will differ depending on whether you have been on holiday in or outside of the EU.
You will be allowed a greater allowance of certain products, such as tobacco and alcohol, if you have been travelling within the EU than if you have been travelling outside of it.
Travelling with Pets:
If you want to go on holiday with a pet, it is important to check with the correct authority before you travel as to the rules regarding travelling with an animal.
Most airlines will require you to have evidence that the animals are free from disease, with a certificate from a certified vet stating so.
You will also need to check with the airline for their policies on how the animals travel; either with you in the cabin, if they are small enough, or as checked baggage.
