Some other countries that will require you to have a visa if you are going to go on holiday there are Thailand, Russia and China.
The way in which you can get a visa to go on holiday outside of Italy will depend on where in the world you want to go on holiday to. Some areas will give you a visa when you enter the country, while others will ask you to obtain your visa before you come into the country. This can be done by an online application, through your travel agent or by visiting the embassy of the country you want to go on holiday to. For specific visa requirements for each country, check with your travel agent when booking you holiday.
Importing Products:
When you have been on holiday outside of Italy, you are allowed to bring back into the country certain products for your personal use with you. Make sure you have the right travel insurance that will cover all your personal possessions. The products you are allowed to bring back into Italy with you when you have been on holiday outside of Italy change depending on if you have been on holiday inside the European Union or on holiday outside of it. If you have been on holiday inside of the European Union, you will be able to bring back in certain allowances of tobacco and alcohol, among other products. When returning to Italy from a holiday outside of the European Union, the allowance granted for different products will vary.
You are not allowed to bring back into the country meat products.
Travelling with Pets:
If you want to go on holiday outside of Italy with your pets, it is possible to take with you on holiday cats, dogs and birds as long as you carry with you a certificate from a certified vet, stating that they are healthy and free from disease. If you want to go on holiday with your pet, check with the correct authority before you leave Italy to go on holiday.
