Visa Requirements:
When you are going on holiday outside of Greece, check with your travel agent first as to which countries require you to have a visa.
The different ways in which you can obtain a visa are:
- On arrival in the country when you will be given one
- Through your travel agent
- By making an online application and through email
- By visiting the embassy of the country you wish to travel to.

When going on holiday, always make sure you and your possessions are covered with travel insurance.
Bringing Goods back into Greece:
You are allowed to bring certain products in restricted amounts back into the country with you when you have been on holiday outside of Greece as long as they are for your personal use. This includes alcohol (of 10 litres of spirits) and tobacco (800 cigarettes or 1 kg of tobacco when travelling within the EU and 200 cigarettes or 250g of tobacco when on holiday outside of the EU).
Travelling with Pets:
If you wish to take you r cats or dogs on holiday with you when you go away, it is necessary to check with the proper authorities before doing so, as there are strict regulations on travelling with animals.
You may take birds with you provided that you are not taking them for trade purposes and that there is a certificate declaring them to be healthy and free from disease.
