Visa Regulations for French Citizens:
Visa requirements for French citizens differ according to the area you wish to travel to on your holiday. If you are in possession of a French passport, you will be able to travel to 168 countries either without a visa or you will be able to get a visa on arrival.
Countries that you will need a visa to enter are:
Depending on the country to which you want to go on holiday, the visa can either be obtained in arrival in the country, via an online application, by visiting the embassy of that country or through your travel agent.
This is information you should talk to your travel agent about though before you go on holiday. If you wish to live or work in any other country in the European Union other than France, you are also able to do this.
Wherever you wish to travel to, it is vital that you have travel insurance before you leave the country.
Importing Products back into the country:
When returning from your holiday back to the country, there are certain products such as alcohol and tobacco that you may bring back into France. The quantities you are allowed to bring back into the country are dependant on whether you have been on holiday in the European Union or outside of it. Under no circumstances may animal products be brought back into France if you have been on holiday outside of the European Union.
Travelling with Pets:
You are able to take your pets with you when you go on holiday outside of France. Travel is subject to strict Customs policy, though, and you should always check with the correct authorities before you go on holiday. Animals must also have certification proving they are free from disease before travel or they will not be permitted to leave the country.
