Visa Requirements: Citizens holding a Northern Cypriot passport are able to travel to Turkey without a visa. As the country has limited international recognition, a Northern Cypriot passport is accepted by a limited number of countries and many do not place visa in the document.
Citizens holding a Northern Cypriot passport are able to travel to United States, Australia, United Kingdom, France, Syria, and Turkey.
For all other Cypriot citizens, the visa requirements vary according to the area to which you wish to travel. A visa will be required should you wish to travel to Australia, Canada, United States of America, China (with the exception of Hong Kong and Macau) Cote Ivoire, Guinea, India, Iran, Mongolia and Venezuela. This may be obtainable on arrival in the country for free or a small charge, via an online application and email, through your travel agent or by visiting the embassy of the country you want to visit.
Import of Products: When returning to Cyprus with products purchased for personal use from the European Union, passengers are allowed to bring into the country 800 cigarettes, or 1kg of pipe or cigarette tobacco, and 10 litres of spirits over 22% or 20 litres of alcoholic beverages less than 22%.
When returning to Cyprus from countries outside the European Union, passengers are allowed to bring in 200 cigarettes 250g of tobacco, and 1 litre of spirits over 22% volume, or 2 litres of spirits or aperitifs made of wine or similar beverages less than 22% volume.
Animal products originating from a country outside of the European Union are not permitted to be brought back into the country.
