Snow tubing is a very popular sport with people of all ages.

However, it is not without its risks. Riders can reach high speeds when travelling down a hill or slope and often have very little control over the direction they travel in.

Unlike with sledding, it is not possible to control the speed or direction of the tube with your arms or legs, as trying to do so can send the tube careening off path and spinning out of control, so it is possible to incur serious injury when snow tubing.

If you are planning on going snow tubing when on holiday, it is important that you make sure you purchase travel insurance that will cover the sport before you leave the country.
