Common Injuries:
Combining alpine skiing with inline skating, snow blading therefore has the potential for the injuries associated with both of the sports.
As snow bladders can generally reach faster speeds than alpine skiers, the risks are increased and, without poles to offer support, it is possible for snow bladers to sustain the same wrist and hand injury as snow boarders.
The sport requires a certain amount of skill, balance and precision to ensure that the risk of serious harm is minimised.
Always make sure you wear protective clothing when snow blading, including a helmet.
If you are going snow blading when on holiday, make sure that your travel insurance policy coves the sport before you leave the country.
