A skidoo is a toboggan that has a motor on it and can hold more than one person at a time.
Popular Areas for Skidooing:
Primarily, skidoos were used as a means of transport in colder climates, however they are now also used for recreational purposes and tourists can even enjoy safari tours on skidoos when on holiday.

Common Injuries:
Injuries from skidooing usually occur as a result of a fall from the vehicle.
However, as they can be ridden over ice, many fatalities from skidoo rides are a result of the skidoo falling through thin ice on a frozen lake, causing the passengers to drown.
If you are going skidooing, make sure you are properly dressed in warm clothes to prevent catching a cold or even hypothermia.
If you are going skidooing when on holiday, it is important to make sure your travel insurance policy covers the sport, before you leave the country.
