Scuba Diving Insurance
It is essential that if you're scuba diving, your scuba diving travel insurance meets your appropriate requirements.
If you're going on a diving holiday, then it is important that your scuba diving insurance covers not only your diving and equipment, but also the other risks associated with going away on holiday. The following are elements of your holiday that we believe should be covered by your scuba insurance :
- Cancellation of the holiday
- Having to cut your holiday short to return back to the UK
- Potential emergency medical costs
- Missed departure
- Travel delay
- Your personal belongings (including diving equipment!)
It is important that all the above elements are covered by your scuba diving insurance. By purchasing our AXA "SuperPlus" policy they would be, and for as little as £5.88!
Scuba Diving equipment can be expensive. That's why our "Superplus" scuba insurance policy has a personal belongings limit of £1,500. Tanks, BC's, gauges, dive skins and regulators are all expensive to replace if lost, stolen or damaged. It's therefore important that your scuba diving travel insurance has an appropriate level of cover to meet your specific needs.
Policies are available on a "short trip" basis for locations ranging from UK to Europe (including the Mediterranean, Red Sea and the Canary Islands) to more far-flung destinations such as Fiji, Egypt, Cayman Islands or Yap and our Worldwide products will provide you with the appropriate scuba insurance cover.
This means that your scuba diving insurance policy is tailored to you.
Our basic travel insurance policies will only cover scuba diving to depths of 18 metres. However, our scuba diving cover can be extended to 30 metres or even 40 metres. Exclusions - please note
You are not covered if you dive within 24 hours of departure on your return trip.
Your equipment is covered for £250 per item up to a maximum of £1500 but only when not in use.
Should you be diving below 18metres then you need to be PADI qualified or equivalent UK or European qualification.
