Ice diving is a dangerous sport so it is vital that you purchase travel insurance before leaving country if planning an ice diving operation whilst on holiday.

Ice diving requires specialist training and you must either be qualified or dive with a qualified instructor.

Because of the risks involved, a dive involves a team of four to six people.

Some of the most common hazards with ice diving are:

• Thin ice failing to support the divers
• Core body temperature dropping
• Disorientation
• Hypothermia

Insurance Cover:

Single Trip: 6 months maximum duration (60-69 year olds: 3 months). Annual Multi-Trip: 60 days maximum duration.
