Am I covered for medical treatment or emergencies if I am traveling to The Channel Islands and I have an EHIC card?

No, as of 1st April 2009, the EHIC (European Health Insurance Card) will no longer be valid in The Channel Islands for medical treatment or emergencies. You will need to purchase travel insurance for your trip.
