This is a very popular trekking route but it is a physically challenging journey and thus requires a certain level of physical fitness to be able to complete it safely.
There are some parts of the route that are more demanding and difficult to traverse, so it is important you are in good physical health before embarking on this trek.
Trekking at a high altitude can have an adverse effect on the heart and blood pressure, causing the veins to restrict, thus making the heart work harder. If you suffer from a heart condition or high blood pressure, check with your doctor prior to travel to ensure it is safe for you to complete the trek.
Make sure you stay safe and healthy whilst on the trek by keeping yourself hydrated and wearing protective clothing to shelter you from the weather conditions.
