Cosmetic surgery refers to a number of procedures which are designed to restore form or function to a part of the body. This can be both cosmetic and reconstructive.

There are a number of reasons for reconstructive surgery. These include:

Recovery times differ for different types of surgery. Some may require you to only be an outpatient but others may require hospitalisation and extensive after care.

You should always consult your Doctor before planning a holiday. You may also be restricted from doing many strenuous activities while on your trip.

It would not be advisable to travel to an area with poor sanitation or high rates on infectious diseases if you have recently had surgery. The chances of you being infected will be higher and your immune system may also be suppressed.

Please also note we do not offer travel insurance for people travelling to other countries in order to seek cosmetic surgery.

If you are travelling with others, we can include them on the policy even if they do not have any pre existing medical conditions.
