A Civil Partnership is a legal or social marriage between two people of the same sex couples. We provide civil partnership travel insurance that will cover the loss or theft of items such as rings, gifts, attire, photographs and videos.

The Civil Partnership Act 2004 in the UK granted same sex couples important rights that are comparable to those awarded by civil marriage. It means that civil partners get the same rights as married couples when it comes to exemption on social security, inheritance tax and pension benefits, equal property rights and the ability to obtain parental rights over a partners child among other things. As with marriage, a civil partnership will end only with death, dissolution akin to divorce or an annulment.

A lawyer will be able to advise you on obtaining the correct documentation to ensure that you civil partnership is valid and licensed, both abroad and in the United Kingdom.

Civil partnerships must take place in a Register Office or a venue of your choice but the ceremony may not take place in a religious building or contain any religious content.
