Cave Tubing is a form of extreme sport which takes place in underground water and involves teh use of an inflated rubber inner tube to float and navigate your way through networks of caves and small water falls.

Cave Tubing is typically done in groups with a tour guide. Most tour companies will provide all the necessary training and saftey equipment, including a wetsuit, boots and helmet. Generally you only need to bring your own towel, swimsuit and camera.

Cave Tubing originated in New Zealand and it is still popular in New Zealand as well as countries such as Belize.

Whilst being considered as a reasonably safe, it does carry considerable risks. Whilst no prior experience is required, just an average fitness level and a sense of adventure, it is not recommended for people who are scared of the dark or claustrophobic.
