Cat skiing can be a dangerous sport that is not without its risks, so if you are planning on going on a cat skiing operation when you are on holiday, make sure you are adequately covered with travel insurance before leaving the country.

Avalanches are frequent and a constant risk, so guides will train you in avalanche rescue techniques before setting out on an operation.

The alpine terrain may not be safe for skiing on.
