Acer Iconia

Acer unveiled the Iconia Smartphone/tablet at the same time as its other range of tablet computers in November 2010.

The Iconia Smart is a 4.8 inch smartphone - tablet hybrid. Features include:

• 8 megapixel front facing camera
• 2 megapixel reverse facing camera
• Edge mounted LEDs
• Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system
• Flash 10.1 compatible
• 8GB storage
• 14.4Mbps download speed
• Wi-Fi N / A-GPS / Bluetooth 2.1+EDR compatible
• Accelerometer
• Gyroscope
• 1GHz Snapdragon processor

Although the phone is larger than average, it is long and slender so does not resemble a tablet quite so much - although it was launched along with the Iconia Tab A500, Iconia Tab W500 and Iconia Tab A100.

There have been complaints that it is too large to be used practically as an everyday phone, and the vast screen will swiftly use up the battery life.

The 22 character serial number can be found underneath the battery on the back of the phone.
