People have often queued overnight to buy all the new launches by Apple.

After few days of the launch, Apple started offering free bumper cases in order to overcome the problem.

The iPhone history began with Steve Jobs directing the engineers to investigate and develop the touch-screens technology. During that time Steve Jobs was considering to work and develop the Tablet PCs. The Apple iPhone is quiet similar to its previous touch screen product the Newton Message Pad which was designed by Jonathan Ive, Apple's Head of Design.

Apple sold 6.1 million original iPhone units over five quarters The company sold 3.8 million iPhone 3G units in the second quarter of 2009, ending March 2009, and 12.6 million 3G and 3GS combined, totalling 33.75 million iPhones sold to date (Q4 2009).
