Cover
You are covered against the repair or replacement cost of your Mobile Phone if it is stolen, or accidentally damaged whilst in your possession or that of your immediate
family during the Period of Insurance. You are also covered for unauthorised calls for up to a period of 24 hours after a valid theft claim to a maximum of £1,000 including VAT.
The Maximum Liability of the Insurer in respect of any one claim will be the replacement cost of the Mobile Phone.
The Insurer's maximum liability for any claim shall not exceed the maximum replacement value of your Mobile Phone. Should your original Mobile Phone no longer be available, the Insurer will replace it with the nearest functionally equivalent model. In respect of unauthorised calls, the limit shall be £1,000 inclusive of VAT.
Period of Insurance
The Insurance commences at the time of purchase for a period of one month and continues by periods of one month upon receipt of your monthly premium. The monthly premium will be collected by Citymain Administrators Limited by Direct Debit.
The Insurance will be terminated immediately if the Insurer does not receive your monthly premium.
Exclusions
This Insurance does not cover :
- The first £25.00 of each and every claim, increased to £50.00 of each and every claim where your Mobile Phone is 3G enabled.
- Any theft unless accompanied by a Crime Reference number. Lost Property numbers are not acceptable in support of a theft claim.
- Any claim involving theft unless reported to the appropriate Police authorities and the Network within 24 hours of the incident.
- Theft from an unattended vehicle unless the vehicle is locked and all protections are in operation and the Mobile Phone is concealed in a locked glove box (all vehicles) or the boot of the vehicle (saloon cars), under the rear parcel shelf (hatchback cars and 4x4 vehicles) or in the spare wheel compartment (estate cars) so that forced and violent entry into the car is required. A copy of the repairer's account for such damage to the vehicle must be supplied with any claim. Theft or damage from side pockets and any other interior space of the vehicle other than those specified will not be covered.
- Theft of the Mobile Phone from an unoccupied premises unless there is evidence of violent and forcible entry to the premises.
- Theft of the Mobile Phone left unattended in a public place or a place to which the public has regular access.
- Theft of the Mobile Phone from the person unless force, pickpocket or threat of violence is used.
- Mysterious disappearance of the Mobile Phone.
- Any losses or consequential losses arising from not being able to use the Mobile Phone.
- Any claim arising from misuse, abuse or neglect.
- Any failure due to date-related problems.
- Unauthorised calls unless associated with a valid theft claim.
- Wear and tear or gradual deterioration of the performance of the Mobile Phone.
- Routine maintenance, modifications, adjustment or servicing.
- Theft or Accidental Damage to the Mobile Phone whilst on loan to any third party other than your immediate family.
- Theft or Accidental Damage to any additional equipment or accessories including but not limited to carrying cases, hands-free mounting kits, battery chargers, cameras or external antennae.
- Theft of SIM or PCIMA cards other than in respect of valid theft claims where your card was stolen with the Mobile Phone.
- Damage to or malfunction of the Mobile Phone caused by or attributed to the operation of a software virus or any other software based malfunction.
- Any consequential loss whatsoever.
